Neumann University is currently seeking qualified applicants for the part-time position of Night Circulation Specialist. The work schedule for this position is Monday through Thursday evenings.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assists library users with the general use of physical and digital library resources.
- Assists patrons with computers; logging on guests, troubleshooting issues with Microsoft Office Suite and Blackboard Learn, assisting with printing issues and printer jams.
- Checks circulating and reserve materials in and out of the Library using the Integrated Library System and records user statistics using online tracking tool.
- Provides general information about the library to patrons, both in person and on the phone.
- Monitors general reading and computing areas as required for noise level and neatness; monitors paper trays for printers and photocopiers; respectfully enforces library and university policies.
- Supervises evening student staff in accordance with Library best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- B.A. or B.S. preferred; library experience helpful.
- Ability to independently troubleshoot computer operating issues related to Digital databases, Blackboard Learn, Microsoft Office Suite, and Printers
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Customer Service experience.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks as necessary.
- Candidates must possess an appreciation for and congruence with the Franciscan mission of the University.
