Role: Sr Database Administrator

Location: Multiple Locations

Duration: Long-term

Job Description:

5-7 years Industry Experience.
Note: When the position was previously opened as DBA Level II most candidates lacked Oracle and Solaris knowledge with experience working in production environments. This did not make the candidate a good fit for the position.

Job Description:
Background:
Primary responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- System monitoring, daily job monitoring and remediation
- Must monitor accounts, passwords, perform data loads, and write PL/SQL scripts
- User and account management using tools such as but not limited to Oracle Enterprise Manager and Oracle File Watcher, Dynatrace and Splunk.
- Will manage approximately 10-15 incident tickets per day
- Responding to incident submissions and DBA on-call support.
- Will perform lights on maintenance and data file loads.
- No AWS Cloud knowledge required, Only on-prem knowledge. But will be eventually migrating to AWS Cloud.
- Will work closely with Siebel Administration teams, Unix Team and Tier-3 Escalation Support Team.
- Must be responsive, knowledgeable, Team Player, and self-starter. Eventually will become Team Lead.
- Provide fresh set of eyes on current work processes, support team, and suggest options to consider or automate.
Requires a BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 5-7 years of information systems experience; with focus on Oracle database administration and Postgres database administration.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required.
3-5 years of experience with Oracle 19c and Postgres R16.
3-5 years of experience with Solaris,
3-5 years of experience Database Management Systems Tools,
3-5 years of experience Linux Operating Systems, Solaris Operating Systems,
3-5 years of experience Oracle DB Administration and PLSQL.
3 Years of development skills with experience in mid-level languages such as Bash, Python, Pearl, Javascript, and R.
2 years of experience with Jira, Confluence and Kanban (Big Plus).
3-5 years of experience with Monitoring Tools such as Oracle Enterprise Manager, DynaTrace, Oracle Real User Experience Interface (RUEI), Oracle File Watcher.
1 year of experience with DISA STIGs and Nessus (or Famaliar with it).
2 years of experience with Agile/ SAFe. Client is a heavy user of Agile processes and uses SAFe for release management.
Experience with Electronic Data Interface (EDI) processing nice to have or Client will ramp them up with it.
Experience with 270/ 271 transactions and/or other X12 data formats Nice to have or Client will ramp them up with it.
