About the Role:The Associate Specialist, Chemical Development Operations will provide support in performing contract and invoice management, shipping/logistics, and supply chain activities to support the Chemical Development department. An ideal candidate is eager to begin a career in Chemical Development, and willing to jump in on a diverse set of projects. This role will offer the opportunity to learn about the operations of Chemical Development Ops and gain exposure to all facets of CMC.

Your Contributions (Include, but are not limited to):Support in the management/monitoring of raw material and API shipments, ensuring the safe and timely pick-up and delivery of shipments
Support in Accounting/Finance activities, including the accrual, budgeting, and invoicing process
Support in Supply Chain activities, including attending vendor meetings, writing meeting minutes, etc.
Supporting a range of activities, including the generation and approval of contracts - Statement of Work, Confidential Disclosure Agreements, etc. - for assigned Chemical Development activities
Maintenance in the Chemical Development website
Interacting with multiple cross-functional areas within the company (Legal, Purchasing, Finance, Logistics)
Other duties as assigned
BA/BS in a scientific discipline and2 years of relevant experience OR
Master's degree and Some relevant experience
Project management experience desired
Adjusted for Associate Specialist requirements
Trained in a scientific discipline and understands the scientific method
General knowledge of Pharmaceutical CMC related process chemistry, solid state material properties/manipulations and analytical techniques necessary to develop and manufacture API
General knowledge of Pharmaceutical CMC activities related to API, Drug Product, Analytical and Clinical Trial Material functions
Familiarity with regulatory and quality aspects of CMC and API activities and documentation
Ability to think creatively and be a team player
Offer flexibility with a willingness to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, use of Microsoft Excel, required
Ability to work as part of a team
Detail oriented
Good computer skills
Understands importance of meeting deadlines
Strong communication, problem-solving, analytical thinking, planning and organization skills
Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or experience and begins to learn Neurocrine's business
Able to manage time efficiently and work independently
