The mission of Neurogene is to treat devastating neurological diseases to improve the lives of patients and families impacted by these rare diseases. The Company’s novel and proprietary EXACT transgene regulation platform technology allows for the delivery of therapeutic levels while limiting transgene toxicity associated with conventional gene therapy. Neurogene has constructed a state-of-the-art gene therapy manufacturing facility in Houston, Texas. CGMP production of NGN-401 was conducted in this facility and will support pivotal clinical development activities. Position Overview
The Senior Director, Field Medical, Medical Affairs (SDFM), will function as a lead subject matter expert (SME) connection between Neurogene and key external stakeholders to support the advancement of Neurogene’s portfolio scientific platforms and to conduct bi-directional scientific exchange. As a key conduit between the organization and Clinical and Scientific Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in the field, the SDFM provides the organization with actionable, field medical insights to help guide internal decision making. In addition, SDFM will be instrumental in helping to build and develop, in collaboration with clinical development, strong relationships with KOLs for pivotal trial development and execution. The SDFM will also be required to build robust relationships with internal stakeholders and provide medical support for a variety of initiatives across the organization. The SDFM will provide strategic and operational support for executing the field medical tactics as well as ongoing territory analysis and development. The strategic areas of focus include scientific exchange, health-care decision maker education and evidence generation. Additionally, this SDFM position is unique in that they will also be engaged and active in key headquarter deliverables, such as advisory board development, medical education content development, Medical Congress planning and operations, Patient Advocacy efforts, publication strategy development and implementation and a variety of other medical initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned Medical Affairs professional with development experience, who is intrinsically motivated, has a collaborative spirit, one that embraces change well, and has experience working in pediatric neurology, neurodevelopmental disorders, rare disease, genetics, and/or gene therapy.
