What are the responsibilities and job description for the NP-C or PA-C position at Neurology Consultants of Arizona?
A robust General Neurology practice in Scottsdale is currently recruiting for an ambitious and responsible Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. We are looking for a clinician to provide support to our physician so that we can continue to offer our patients an excellent quality of care. Neurology experience is referred but is not required.
Under the direction of our physician you will:
- Provide excellent care and management for patients in an outpatient setting, including diagnosis, treatments and consultations.
- Perform new patient consultations and routine follow up care in collaboration with physician as appropriate.
- Formulate a treatment plan for patients in collaboration with the physician, as appropriate.
- Educate patient and family about diagnosis and treatment options, including risks, benefits, and alternatives.
- Apply medical techniques and principles within your scope, under the direction of a physician, to a diverse set of patients; offer patients care and encouragement.
- Monitor patients’ progress and keep records of treatments, surgeries or other medical events.
- Issue appropriate prescriptions and administer medicine.
- Inform physicians about any problems or discrepancies that might arise.
- Comply strictly with medical care regulations and safety standards.
- Manage busy schedule of new patient consultations, follow-ups and referrals.
- Complete medical charts and documentation within expected time frames.
- Perform all duties and services in full compliance with internal and external requirements.

Requirements:
- Current Arizona Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant State License in good standing
- Current DEA certificate required prior to start date

Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
