What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Therapy Assistant position at Neuropathy Treatment Clinics of Texas?
We are seeking energetic and a vibrant Medical Therapy Assistant who want to be part of a fast paced, positive environment, team approach to treating patients with neuropathy.
ROLE
The MA functions under the supervision and guidance of the NP, RN, LVN or physician and
participates in the multi-disciplinary process of providing care and treatment to patients. MA also provides clinical support and technical assistance to the professional staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs appropriate, specific anatomical placement of the electrodes as well as programming of the electrostimulation device according to symptoms, treatment site and direction of nursing staff.
- Perform any hands on therapy as well as diagnostic testing
- Monitor patients on the electrostimulation device for disconnections, errors in machine, patient comfort and completion of programs
- Performs all duties related to decontamination (cleaning all chairs, remotes, sponges, cups and pads) between each and every patient use
- Will assist with any procedures as directed by the NP, RN, LVN or physician
- Provides exceptional customer service to all patients by providing a comfortable and caring environment
- Assist with medical scribe duties and EHR charting
- Proficient in electronic medical records and basic computer skills
- Proficient in medical terminology
- Medical experience preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
