As a Behavioral Health Associate, you will be part of a team that prioritizes patient-centered care and provides direct behavioral support to individuals in acute distress.
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a behavioral health setting, preferably in direct care, and possess a strong understanding of trauma-informed care principles.
The Behavioral Health Associate will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to our patients. This includes identifying high-risk patients, using crisis intervention practices, and supporting safety plan interventions to maintain a safe environment.
As a member of our team, you will participate in shift hand-off meetings, unit rounds, community meetings, team meetings, and committee meetings as required. You will also assist in the assessment of need for restraints and their application and removal.
In addition to providing direct care, the Behavioral Health Associate will lead or co-lead discussion groups on topics such as anger management and safety. They will also review incident reports to identify potential preventable factors and present these findings to the treatment team.
