Nevada City School of the Arts (NCSOTA), a TK-8 charter school in operation since 1994, is seeking a dynamic, culturally aware, stimulating, and highly qualified teacher to join our paraprofessional school team. JOB TITLE: PARAPROFESSIONAL & AFTER-SCHOOL CAREGIVER SCHEDULE: 2024-25 School Year - Full-time WAGE: $17.65 - $25.17 per hour, depending on experience SUMMARY: The Nevada City School of the Arts (NCSOTA) Paraprofessional assists students with special needs under the direction of a certificated teacher and resource specialist. Paraprofessionals generally work in an inclusionary setting (i.e., one-to-one environment). The special education paraprofessional assists the teacher in general daily classroom activities, help special needs students, and cares for their physical, emotional health and safety, affirming their abilities, and striving to promote dignity in all relationships. The After-School Caregiver will assist the Afterschool Care Director with the implementation of a quality program that enriches the students academically, socially, emotionally, and physically. The After-School Caregiver will maintain a safe and educational learning environment for young children by successfully overseeing daily program activities. Daily expectations include: leading children in table activities, supervising snack and outdoor play, assisting children with day to day needs, maintaining a clean environment, leading group activities, and teaching the programs that are created by the Afterschool Care Director.
