Description
The Procurement Transplant Coordinator I (PTC I) support the mission, goals and strategic plan of Nevada Donor Network, Inc. (NDN) by evaluating potential organ donor referrals, medically managing organ donors, allocating donated organs, and coordinating all aspects of the organ recovery. Additionally, the PTC I promote the mission by assisting in the development and delivery of hospital and professional education, as necessary.
Requirements
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree or higher in nursing, respiratory therapy, paramedic medicine, related biological science (including human donation science), or medical school degree (including foreign degree programs) preferred.
Experience: Critical care experience or organ donor management experience preferred.
Computer Skills: Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) preferred. Experience with electronic medical records (e.g., Cerner, Epic, Meditech) preferred.
Certificates & Licenses: Certified Procurement Transplant Coordinator (CPTC) preferred. License/certification in nursing, respiratory therapy, or related biological science preferred. CPTC required within 18 months of employment.
Point of Care Testing: Individuals that meet state requirements to perform point of care testing it is preferred to get licensed and training from Nevada Donor Network Clinical Laboratory.
Other Requirements: Ability to fulfill on-call obligations; case work up to 24 consecutive hours.
Salary : $37 - $55
