Job Summary
The Facilities Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our manufacturing facility. This position requires a hands-on approach to troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining various systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facility equipment, including but not limited to hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments to ensure equipment is operating within specifications.
- Operate scissor lifts and other machinery safely while performing maintenance tasks.
- Troubleshoot issues using voltmeters and logic controllers to diagnose electrical problems.
- Fabricate parts or components as needed to maintain operational efficiency.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing facility-related concerns promptly and effectively.
- Collaborate with team members to implement preventative maintenance programs.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Excavation equipment experience preferred.
- 2 years previous construction and maintenance experience is preferred.
- Valid drivers’ license is required.
- 4 years Mining experience is preferred.
- Overhead door repair experience preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry at least 90 pounds required.
- SAP knowledge preferred.
- Electrical experience / training required.
- Plumbing, carpentry, welding and HVAC knowledge required.
- Perform job responsibilities with integrity under minimal to no supervision required.
- Proven attention to detail with a high level of accuracy required.
- Excellent organizational, time management skills required.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently required.
- Demonstrated well-developed interpersonal skills, with a courteous and pleasant customer service focus required.
- Excellent verbal, written, and radio communication skills required.
- Capability to multi-task, self-manage and self-motivate required.
- Demonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standards required.
- Willingness to work weekends and possible overtime required.
