Cannabis Cultivation Trimmer/Packager

Nevada Made Marijuana is immediately hiring Trimmers and Packagers to work in our state of the art cultivation facility, located in Laughlin, NV!

All applicants must pass an extensive background check, including fingerprinting.

Trimmers are responsible for harvesting, trimming, and packaging cannabis products for retail sale. Trimmers work in close quarters with other employees, and must be comfortable sitting and/ or standing for the duration of an 8 hour shift. Trimmers are professional individuals who enjoy working with others, have a positive attitude, and pay close attention to detail. There is no room for error in our cultivation facility, so trimmers must follow all company policies and procedures as well as local, state, and federal regulations.

Packagers are responsible for weighing, labeling, and packaging cannabis concentrates for retail sale. Packagers must have situational awareness and pay close attention to detail when completing duties to ensure all compliance and safety standards are met. Packagers must frequently sanitize their workspaces, tools, and work equipment to ensure cleanliness standards are met and all products are clean and safe to consume. Successful packages are able to follow SOPs to the letter, while maintaining speed, accuracy, and proper use of equipment. Successful packagers are able to work well independently and in small group settings, and understand the importance of following directions and not deviating from SOPs.

Scheduling flexibility for this position is required; candidates will be expected to alternate between swing shift and overnight hours based on a seasonal schedule.

Job Responsibilities:

• Handle and break down marijuana plants during harvest
• Weigh, label, and package cannabis products in a timely and accurate manner
• Trim and process plant material according to company standards and compliance regulations
• Complete strict sanitation protocols throughout the facility, in all rooms
• Read and operate scales accurately
• Follow SOPs, policies, procedures, laws, rules, and regulations without deviation
• Assist in training new employees
• Weigh, label, and package cannabis concentrates for retail sale
• Maintain standards regarding finished product weight and appearance
• Follow all company policies and procedures as well as local, state, and federal laws, rules, and regulations
• Ensure proper sanitation, organization, and safe use of tools, workspaces, equipment, and supplies
• Assist in other areas of the Production department as needed

Qualifications:

• Experience working with plants, landscaping, or gardening preferred
• Positive attitude and ability to work well in small-group environments
• Minimum 21 years of age
• Ability to pass a background check including fingerprinting
• A valid driver’s license or ID
• Detail oriented
• Comfortable standing in one place for duration of shift
• Comfortable walking, bending, and lifting items up to 50 lbs for duration of shift

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $15.50 per hour
