Trimmer / Post Harvest Processing

POSITION TITLE: TRIMMER / POST HARVEST PROCESSING

POSITION SUMMARY Trimmer position involves using sharp, clean and sanitized scissors to remove the larger leaves and stems from the flower buds. Trimmer must also trim, weigh, label and package flower products Trimmer performs other duties as assigned.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Use sharp, clean & sanitized scissors to trim marijuana buds.
• Trim and de-leaf plants.
• Ability to use a weighing scale accurately.
• Must be accurate and consistent in trimming and weighing product.
• Must be able to focus on a task for long periods of time.
• Package products according to packaging standards.
• Familiarity with warehouse procedures.
• Repetitive use of hands, wrists and forearms.
• Possible manufacturing / assembling / labeling product.
• Ensure all areas are clean and neat, including but not limited to taking out the trash, dusting, mopping floors and other cleaning duties, as necessary.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Must be a self-starter, flexible to work in a collaborative structure and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Practice safe work habits at all times to avoid injury to self and others.
• Assures compliance with local regulations, and federal law.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of Tribal Cannabis Regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Occasionally works in both wet humid, warm, or cold conditions.
• Works both in and out of doors.
• Regularly uses hands, fingers wrists and forearms.
• Regularly lifts up to 25 pounds and occasionally may lift up to 50 pounds.
• Regularly stands, walks, and lifts.
• Ability to adapt to a quickly changing environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Must be able to work overtime, including weekends, evenings and special events as needed.
• Well-organized and detail-oriented and able to multi-task.
• Preference will be given to Native Americans (25 USC Sec. 472A).
• Must have a valid California Driver’s License and be insurable on automobile policy.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test, background investigation and live scan.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
