OR Storeroom Clerk

OR STOREROOM JOB DESCRIPTION

• Distributes inventory and re-stocks all sterile and non-sterile disposable and surgical supplies.
• Maintains proper inventory levels in par locations to ensure the needs of the surgery and anesthesia units.
• Pulls inventory items for surgical cases.
• Maintains inventory records through the use of the EMR system with the use of a desktop and handheld scanner.
• Works in the storeroom re-stocking shelves and maintaining a neat and safe work environment.
• Maintains labels on shelving units as needed
• Always rotate inventory, remove outdated supplies before expiration date, and credits accordingly
• Works closely with Central Sterile and Surgical Manager to order special supplies for surgeons.
• Works closely with Reps communicating surgical dates.
• Create new preference cards and update them.
• Responsible for tissue log.
• Responsible for Representative log.
• Equipment repair Log.
• OR department daily checklist.
• May be cross-trained as scrub tech which will help familiarize with supplies, procedures, and surgeon preferences.
• Monthly Quality checks
• Assisting Reps with Secure app
