Job Summary
Under the direction of the RSVP CEO and Program Director, the Service Coordinator/Transporter is responsible for facilitating the delivery of services to the elderly, disabled, and others in need within the community. This role involves recruiting volunteers, identifying clients in need, coordinating volunteer matches, publicizing services, and maintaining records. Additionally, the Service Coordinator will assist with transportation, manage timesheets, respond to inquiries, and perform various administrative tasks to support the organization's mission
Responsibilities
Recruit volunteers to serve the elderly, disabled, and others in need of short- and long-term services.
- Identify clients in the community requiring assistance and match them with appropriate volunteers or independent contractors.
- Work with the community to publicize the client services that are provided through the RSVP Programs.
- Establish partnerships with other nonprofit organizations to provide volunteers for their initiatives.
- Implement tasks outlined in Program Growth Plans assigned by the Program Director, Transportation Director, and Program Coordinators.
- Transport clients as assigned by the Transportation Department.
- Collect, review, and submit timesheets of independent contractors and volunteers to the organization's accounting department by the designated deadlines.
- Respond promptly to phone and email inquiries regarding services provided by RSVP.
- Maintain and report on the maintenance of all RSVP vehicles, ensuring they are fueled and cleaned according to organizational and regulatory standards.
- Screen telephone callers and respond to routine requests for information on procedures and systems relating to assigned responsibilities.
- Organize and maintain a filing system, keeping records related to client services up-to-date and accessible.
- Operate office equipment, including computers, to input and retrieve data as needed.
- Conduct volunteer training sessions to ensure effective service delivery.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Ability to carry out assigned duties and responsibilities ethically and follow the organization’s policies.
- Possess a valid Nevada Driver’s License, successfully pass a formal background check, and clean driving record.
- Must be willing to transport clients to appointments from rural Nevada to urban areas.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Windows/Microsoft Office.
- Highly accurate and detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to operate and maintain various types of vehicles
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Willingness to work flexible hours.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy items as needed.
