Position Overview:
Nevell Group, a leading commercial construction company, is seeking an experienced and proactive Human Resources Generalist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of HR practices, be well-versed in labor laws, and demonstrate the ability to work effectively with a diverse team. This position will be responsible for supporting the full spectrum of HR activities, from onboarding to employee relations and compliance, while ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Employee Onboarding & Training: Facilitate new employee onboarding, ensuring compliance with company policies and safety protocols. Coordinate or conduct training programs, including safety and skill development.
- Employee Relations: Act as a liaison between employees and management, addressing workplace issues and promoting a positive, respectful workplace culture. Provide support in conflict resolution and mediation when necessary.
- Benefits Administration: Assist with employee benefits administration and respond to questions regarding benefits, compensation, and other HR-related inquiries.
- Policy Development & Documentation: Help develop, implement, and communicate HR policies and procedures. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
- HR Reporting & Metrics: Assist with reporting on key HR metrics and contribute to strategic planning initiatives.
- Employee Engagement & Retention: Work to develop programs and initiatives that improve employee engagement, retention, and morale.
- Other Duties as Assigned: Support additional HR functions as needed, including employee surveys, labor relations, and special projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2-4 years of HR experience, preferably within the construction or industrial sectors.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to travel to all NGi locations as needed.
