What are the responsibilities and job description for the Identification Issuance Support / Receptionist position at New Age Protection?
New Age Protection, Inc. is seeking eligible candidates to provide support for identification issuance and fulfilling duties as a receptionist. This is in partnership with the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency). The following is a basic explanation of the job description, as well as the credentials potential candidates must have.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Reviewing official identification documents (passports, birth certificates, naturalized documents, etc.)
- Issuing photographic equipment, a manual fingerprint machine, a computer, a scanner, a copier, an automatic fingerprint machine, and / or other equipment with limited instructions.
- Preparing reports.
- Provides clear, concise, and polite customer service.
- Resolving scheduled appointment conflicts and deferring questions or conflicts that cannot be resolved or answered by higher-ups.
- Oversee EPA badge certification renewal and badge re-issuing.
- Required to maintain a calendar of scheduled appointments and a sign-in log.
- Oversee canceling, reclaiming, and physically destroying the badges for the EPA.
- Acquiring the proper biometric data (fingerprints, photographs) for badge issuance
- In charge of accurately programming each badge prior to the issuance to the owner.
- Must enroll all badges into the EPA physical Access control system and any other applicable access control system via the established PIV restriction process.
- Expected to unlock the doors in the morning.
- Ensure all contractors / vendors provide labor services, repairs to EPA equipment, water or coffee deliveries, vending machine, or construction workers present proper identification and are accompanied while in EPA space.
- Ensure the only deliveries accepted at the reception desk are floral and food deliveries.
- Deliveries must be confirmed by the receptionist and must be physically in the office to accept as no deliveries are to be accepted on behalf of the receptionist.
- Must secure all facility metal keys and all access cards at close of workday, every day.
- Ensure that CCTV cameras mounted on the exterior of the facility are in working order and are required to immediately report any problems with the equipment, along with making sure that the CCTV tape and / or media is changed daily or as required.
- Required to direct delivery / carrier companies to park their vehicle in the visitor lot, enter the lab to sign in and then allowed access / entrance to the rear of the facility.
- Ensure announcements are made when delivery companies need to be met at the receiving / shipping room at EPA staff.
- Must be able to interact with arming and disarming the Intrusion detection system (IDS), and alarm systems as needed.
- Ensure faxes received are routed appropriately and / or an email is sent to recipients informing them a fax has arrived.
- Must assist the EPA during the semiannual occupant emergency plans / emergency action plan.
- Must create and / or assist in the researching of details for incident reports received from the EPA.
Qualifications:
- Must have an active public trust (Tier2/MBI) or be able to obtain one.
- Candidate must be a US citizen.
- At LEAST 21 years of age.
- At a minimum, possess either a high school diploma or a GED equivalency certificate.
- Can type and operate a government-provided computer.
- Required to have experience in operating black and white / color copier / printer machines.
- Must Understand and be able to utilize software’s such as Microsoft word, excel, adobe acrobat, etc. to develop or complete previously prepared statistical spreadsheets.
- Must have excellent verbal communication skills.
- Can use a telephone and voicemail systems.
- Must have excellent written communication skills as you will be instructed to compose emails and / or reports.
- Possess the ability to perform required official research.
- Have two (2) or more years of experience in badging-related administration or have experience in a similar field.
