Overview
Position: Construction Loan Boarding Analyst I-III
Location: Austin, TX- Remote OK (if living within 31 miles of Tustin, CA or Austin TX; will need to work a hybrid schedule)
Hours: Must be able to work CST hours.
Pay: 60K- 72K D.O.E.
Position Summary: This individual’s primary role is to monitor the Construction Loans as they move through the construction life cycle, depending on the product. The analyst will be responsible to ensure loans do not age unnecessarily and will report issues/ risk to SVP and AVP of New Loan Boarding. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong technical skills, attention to detail, ability to troubleshoot issues, testing and proofreading documents are required for this position. This position will be involved in the daily maintenance and boarding of complex residential construction and land development loans, to the Servicing System - MSP.
Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work construction Queue’s ensuring loan movement
- Works closely with construction & servicing teams on all Construction loan products; OTC Manufactured, Construction loan team & Builder Products. Additional products may be added that will fall under the responsibility of the Construction Loan Boarding Analyst.
- Works closely with SVP & AVP on pipeline management reports that are reviewed monthly with senior management.
- Ability to observe, identify and translate data.
- Review reports for loans with any post-closing changes requiring system updates or changes.
- Analyst will be required to open tickets with ICE as needed, and follow ticket to resolution.
Desired Competencies:
- Has knowledge of commonly used terminology, concepts and practices and procedures within the mortgage industry and knowledge of mortgage loan products.
- Knowledge of MSP, Encompass and ability to adapt to or navigate different software interfaces.
- Ability to meet time deadlines while working under pressure.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to balance simultaneous tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment. Able to work autonomously.
- Excellent business math skills.
- Analytical and organized; solutions oriented.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong PC skills. Must be proficient in MS Windows, MS Outlook, MS Office Suite.
- Exercise sound judgment and excellent independent decision-making skills.
Qualifications
Desired Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required, bachelor’s degree preferred.
- The ideal candidate should be a highly successful mortgage servicing professional with the following:
- 4 years Management experience.
- Combined, 2 years of experience working on various change management functions or projects.
- Overall, 2 years Mortgage Servicing or other relevant financial services industry experience.
- Understands how to capture business requirements, testing changes.
