Position Summary
Sets up, instructs, and maintains the workflow of crew to achieve daily goals set forth by the company for food safety, quality, yields and efficiency.
Job Responsibilities:
- Checks and Inspects work of crew.
- Assures team is operating safely.
- Provides PPE and supplies to team.
- Trains new employees to perform specific job duties.
- Assists supervisor in daily activities.
- Works on special projects when not working with team.
- Able to follow written instructions.
- Signs off on completion reports.
- Other duties as assigned by dept. manager.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- Ability to understand and carryout directions both verbal and written.
- Ability to understand and communicate in English both verbal and written.
- Ability to lead a working crew without supervision.
- Recognize / Analyze problem areas and help develop solutions.
- Ability to communicate effectively to a diverse work force and upper management.
Work Environment:
- Ability to work in a hot environment.
- Ability to stand 8-10 hours a day.
Qualifications / Skills:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- At least 2 years’ experience in meat industry.
