JOB MISSION:
As the Global Speed Team Assistant Product Manager, you will be a key member on a hybrid merchandising and product creation team. You will help with the merchandising, initiation, design, development, and confirmation of products within the Global Business on expedited timelines. You will work closely with design, development, and other cross-functional teams to identify and follow timelines, confirm forecasts, and address costing and market issues. Ultimately bringing to market product that amplifies & elevates key brand stories & models. This role is based at the New Balance Boston headquarters.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Assist with the execution of product solutions based on prioritization and alignment with Global, Regional Merchandising and Inline Product Creation business unit teams.
- Organize and track Global on-going projects through awareness and intake of all incoming projects and input into the Global Speed process. Look for continuous improvements and identify new category opportunities.
- Facilitate awareness and alignment to have projects approved, briefed, and created in the system, so that design and development can move forward.
- Assist with the evaluation of product prototypes and make recommendations for improvement. Ensure costing & pricing achieve category targets.
- Assist with communication of product decisions, meeting outcomes and calendar milestones so that projects can continue to move forward on time.
- Re-prioritize projects as needed – be able to easily shift to meet changing business needs.
- Assist and provide product presentations to management, the sales force, and key external customers. Interact comfortably with merchandising and sales.
- Assist with identification of market competition, trends, and Global Regional specific requests.
- Track the performance of programs against KPI’s and post retail launches to clearly demonstrate the impact to regional business as well as Global brand stories & models.
REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS
- Bachelor's degree with 1-2 years professional business experience
- Experience in Retail or Product Marketing within the Footwear Industry
- Commercially focused and able to interact effectively with customers.
- Business planning and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to details
- Must be decisive, can get to decisions quickly.
- Highly organized, able to manage multiple projects.
- System savvy (PPM, SharePoint, Merchandising)
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office skills
- Strong collaboration and communication skills

Flexible Work Schedule
