JOB MISSION :
The finished Goods Quality Supervisor will be responsible for managing personnel and activities to ensure effective and efficient operation of the Warehouse Quality group. You and your team will input, maintain, and share accurate quality data to be used for reporting, decision making, and to drive continuous improvement on current and future styles. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure that your team is aligned to New Balance's Quality standards and properly representing the voice of the customer from a quality perspective. You will manage the defective returns analysis, reporting, and chargeback process. You will seek out opportunities and implement solutions for continuous improvement and efficiency gains within your organization.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES :
- Provide effective leadership and direction to the Warehouse Quality Group (including but not limited to developing, training, and evaluating) while ensuring a safe and efficient environment for them to work in.
- Act as primary point of contact for Warehouse Quality Group and foster a cross-functional partnership with Warehouse Operations Team.
- Participate in quality improvement teams providing problem solving or prevention guidance using quality tools such as 8D, DOE, and FMEA.
- Work with quality leaders within the organization to coordinate efforts between sites and ensure consistency of product and procedures relative to standards, and Warehouse operations.
- Maintain quality databases to be used for reporting, decision making, and to drive continuous improvement.
- Assist in developing finished goods sampling plans and the resulting report outs to protect the customer while gathering accurate and meaningful data to drive corrective and preventative actions in manufacturing.
- Manage QIR System- partnering with vendors to address specific quality issues and following up to ensure that closed loop corrective actions are implemented and effective, when necessary.
- Manage defective returns analysis, reporting, and chargeback process, including organizing / coordinating occasional finished goods quality sorting and rework projects.
- Seek out and implement opportunities for continuous improvement and efficiency gains within your organization.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
