New Bay Remodeling is a premier Remodeling company specializing in construction of residential and commercial projects.
Position Overview:
An Assistant Project Manager is responsible for supporting the administrative and technical management of a construction project. The Assistant Project Manager will work alongside the Project Executive to steer the project forward and ensure a quality project within time, budget, and scope constraints.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the analysis of project requirements to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Review proposals for various scopes of work and award Subcontracts accordingly.
- Building and maintaining a rapport with external customers, subcontractors, and building officials.
- Assist with the preparation of cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration and at the completion of the project.
- Assist the Project Executive with job processes (RFIs, submittals, and pay application) and negotiate subcontract change orders.
- Monitor project procurement, including long-lead items while interacting with consultants, clients and construction contractors.
- Using technology to update project schedules, provide daily logs to clients and process purchase orders for materials and subcontractors
- Review scope of work and estimating to generate a project schedule
- Notify trade partners of project schedule forecast and update regularly as project progresses
- Review Trade/Vendor invoicing prior to payment submission and check for accuracy
- Write any Change Orders needed for variance from original scope of work/contract
- Supervise the work of field crews and give them guidance, when needed
- Conduct regular project progress meeting with client and operations manager
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment, including OSHA requirements
- Review job tracking on a regular basis and analyze any deficiencies
- Create list of project materials to be ordered
- Schedule inspections, as needed
- Visit job sites and manage project foremen/crew
- Effectively manage materials including moving, sorting, and re-ordering.
- Communicating with project managers, suppliers, and the office team.
- Efficiently following up on task-oriented items
Experience and Qualifications:
- 2-5 years’ related experience in construction management, engineering, architecture or related discipline.
- Detail-oriented, can manage multiple priorities and has strong management and communication skills.
- Must be comfortable learning and using technology including the ability to master sector specific software such as Jobtread and BlueBeam.
- Must be able to travel locally to project sites as needed.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated ability to produce clear and effective written communication to diverse audiences
- Ability to wake up early
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 35 pounds.
- Must be able to safely navigate a construction project site including walking on uneven surfaces, climbing stairs and climbing ladders.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
