Job Summary
We are a small Assisted living facility seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide high-quality support and assistance to individuals in our adult foster care home. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of residents while promoting their independence and dignity. We treat our residents like part of the family, not a paycheck. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care for individuals over 55 that are still somewhat self sufficient but may suffer with mental disorders, dementia, memory-related conditions, the inability to care for themselves alone.
Duties
- Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, possible wound changes and friendship.
- Provide patient monitoring to ensure the health and safety of residents.
- Support individuals with disabilities by facilitating their engagement in activities and promoting social interaction.
- Do our residents Laundry, administer medications, clean their rooms, keep the home clean. We change their bedding, we make 3 meals a day for our residents.
- Perform heavy lifting as required to assist residents with mobility or transfers.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and uphold resident rights at all times. Treat them with respect.
- Document care provided and any changes in resident condition accurately and promptly.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other caregivers to develop personalized care plans for residents.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred.
- Understanding of patient monitoring techniques and the ability to recognize changes in health status.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality regarding resident information.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work compassionately with individuals from diverse backgrounds who may have many different mental health issues.
- Certification in caregiving or nursing is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential, you MUST be willing to work as a team and perform your daily shift duties.

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
