What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Counselor/ Substance Abuse position at New Bridge Foundation?

We are currently hiring a part-time counselor to work in our school-based program, in a middle school, providing a curriculum-based Substance Use Prevention Education. Students participate in an environmental campaign designed to prevent substance use in the community.
Candidates must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree or higher, in Counseling, Psychology or Social Work as well as have experience working with a diverse population. Candidates must be knowledgeable in child and adolescent development, substance abuse prevention and multi-cultural issues. Candidates must be a team-player (both inside the organization as well as in the community), have the desire to learn and have the ability to work independently.
Candidates must have the ability to take initiative, have good judgment, be resourceful, have tact, and physical ability commensurate with the demand of the position.
