The New Canaan YMCA is looking for MORNING SHIFT part-time staff for our Kids Club program.
We are looking for caring and energetic staff to provide safe oversight and engagement - encouraging exploration, imaginative play, songs and craft activities, helping to keep our Kids Club space clean and welcoming.
Candidates should:
- be 18 years of age or older
- be able to commit to 8 - 10 hours a week.
- have a minimum 2 years experience in babysitting and/or childcare environment.
- Demonstrate ability to care for young children and take responsibility in their role.
- Have confidence to take control and make sound decisions easily.
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred
Principal Activities include:
- Provide a safe, nurturing environment for the children in their care.
- Supervise the children, playroom, and activities to create a fun and inviting space.
- Monitor check in/check out information and contact information in case parent/guardian must be reached.
Available shifts are:
- Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-12:30 PM
- Saturdays / Sundays 7:45am - 12:30 PM
