I am currently seeking a reliable female caregiver with exceptional skills who is highly intuitive, fast learning, and enjoys a challenge. As a caregiver, you will provide essential assistance and support to a young female client who has the need of constant hands on care during your shift. You will be delegated in nursing skilled tasks with the rewarding opportunity of learning high level medical acuity care and experience. This would be a great job for someone who is in or plans to be in a higher level of health care because this position will give you great skilled medical knowledge perfect for medical experience on your resume once you've acquired it.
This position is a 30 hour plus weekly schedule. I’m willing to be flexible with exact days or hours but what I’m looking for is preferably Monday 9am-5pm, Tuesday 9am-5pm, Wednesday 9am-5pm, and either Friday or Saturday 4:30pm-10:30pm with the ability to possibility fill shifts between the hours of 9am-11:30pm.
Duties
- Assist client with daily living activities and IADL's such as bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, ROM exercises and body massages.
- Maintaining medical equipment, machines, and learning sterilization techniques.
- Learning and providing nursing delegated tasks such as g-tube feedings and cares, suprapubic cleaning and emptying, tracheostomy cleaning and cares not limited to suctioning trach.
- Full assist the individual with mobility challenges, ensuring their safety during transfers and movement.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for client by adhering to hygiene standards and protocols.
- Document care provided and report any changes in clients' conditions to the appropriate personnel.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Uphold resident rights by treating all individuals with dignity and respect, fostering an inclusive atmosphere.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities related to care giving best practices.
Requirements
- Previous experience in care giving or related fields such as social work, hospice care, or assisted living is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical care principles and practices is a plus.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Ability to follow care plans accurately while being attentive to the unique needs of client.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
- Must be dependable
