The Chief Engineer will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and technicians in maintaining the physical plant and ensuring the smooth operation of hotel systems and services.

What You Will Do
- Lead a team of engineers and technicians in maintaining the physical plant and ensuring the smooth operation of hotel systems and services.
- Develop and implement departmental policies, procedures, and standards.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as housekeeping and food and beverage, to ensure smooth operation of hotel systems and services.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, including budgets, schedules, and employee performance evaluations.
- Identify and resolve problems and issues related to engineering operations, including guest complaints and safety hazards.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in a related field, including previous supervisory experience.
- Strong background in technical trades, such as HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical work.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Able to read, write, and verbally communicate effectively and professionally in English.
- Able to perform heavy work, exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
- Able to stand for long periods of time and walk long distances, bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body and arms.
