What are the responsibilities and job description for the Student Assistant, Campus Recreation position at New College of Florida?
Maintains the proper functioning of all Recreation Center spaces while providing an upbeat welcoming attitude to the community. Being professional in your communications with the community and a hard work attitude are expected. Organization, timeliness, and motivation to improve the Recreation Center are good traits for this position. Lifeguarding responsibilities will be assigned once certification is attained.
Duties:
- Open and close the Recreation Center following procedural process
- Work to assist in the maintenance of a well-functioning Recreation Center, which includes:
- Logging in students/staff/faculty
- Keeping inventory of club materials and signing out equipment to NCF affiliates
- Organizing equipment, cleaning tasks, and managing spaces
- Helping with projects assigned by supervisor
- Give tours or Recreation Center
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Be knowledgeable about Recreation Center equipment
- Open recreational facilities on time
Must be a current New College of Florida student.
Willingness to get lifeguard, CPR, and first aid certified.
Required swim test
The ability to work with minor supervision and direction.
The ability to problem solve when it comes to improving Recreation Center outlay.
Knowledgeable about some type of fitness/health related activities.
Ability to lift 45 lbs
