Position Overview
In this role the Development Assistant will provide administrative assistance to several teams across the solar development life cycle including engineering, project management, procurement, permitting, quality assurance and more.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the day-to-day activities of purchasing equipment, scheduling deliveries and assisting the head of procurement with general procurement strategy.
- Managing inventories and maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records.
- Maintaining and updating supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, etc.
- Maintaining good supplier relations and assisting in negotiating contracts.
- Preparing cost analyses, and reports and assisting in budget preparation.
- Assisting engineering team with file management, subcontractor management and billing.
- Supporting project managers with permit filing, file management, and following upwith various parties for status updates.
- Assisting pre-construction team with logistics, file management and follow-up with contractors.
- Other administrative duties as assigned.
