Job Developer
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Job Developer to join our team in supporting adults with disabilities in their quest for meaningful employment within the community. This key position requires individuals who can gain a thorough understanding of the interests of the individuals they serve, along with evidence-based employment principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Participant Engagement:
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of participants' interests, abilities, and strengths through available background information and personal observations.
- Job Search Assistance:
- Aid individuals in identifying potential employers, searching for jobs, completing applications, and preparing for interviews.
- Barrier Identification and Resolution:
- Collaborate with individuals to identify and overcome potential barriers to employment such as transportation, work availability, and other challenges.
- Employer Communication:
- Communicate with employers and potential employers as needed, with the approval of the individual, to assist in overcoming job-related issues.
- Employment-Related Services:
- Dedicate 95% of work time to providing employment-related services.
- Case Management:
- Maintain a caseload of no more than 20 individuals, managing all phases of employment including intake, engagement, assessment, job development, job coaching, and follow-along support.
- Inter-Agency Collaboration:
- Actively participate in inter-agency treatment teams for individuals in the caseload.
Qualifications
- Age Requirement:
- Must be 21 years or older to apply.
- Background Checks:
- Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug test, and recipient rights background check.
- Education:
- Possession of a high school diploma.
Compensation
- Hourly Rate:
- $18.53 per hour, an additional $5.20 per hour direct care worker pay included.
This is a full-time position with health insurance options available and qualifies for a monthly phone stipend. Typical hours would be 8 am – 4 pm Monday through Friday but this is position does allow for some flexibility.
