Job Site Services (JSS) is seeking a Director of Business Development to join our expanding company. We are seeking a Michigan based Director with specific experience in Environmental Construction and Remediation (Groundwater Treatment, Mass Excavation, Underground Storage Tank Removal, Trench/Cut-Off Walls, Implementation of various Corrective Action Plans).
Responsibilities
- Develop, direct and participate in a comprehensive Sales and Marketing Program, with the goal of increasing revenues and the expansion of JSS.
- Expand the Federal contracting opportunities.
- Hire, oversee, direct, and organize the activities of the sales and marketing staff.
- Prepare sales plans and forecasts; monitor and track sales plan to ensure sales quota is met or exceeded.
- Develop and update monthly sales demand within territories, based on customers estimated requirements.
- Assure Sales Reps attain sales goals for respective territories.
- Contribute to the strategic goals and objectives of JSS and demonstrate successful execution of strategies for JSS services.
- Identify profitable new opportunities from leads provided by our Division Managers, Project Managers, current customers, trade publications, state associations, internet/newspaper/journal articles, or cold calling.
- Serve as interface between customers and company to ensure that customer needs are met and issues are promptly resolved.
- Maintain current database with our marketing software, while providing accurate sales reporting, as required.
- Develop extensive working relationships with customers, as well as other departments, to ensure customer needs are addressed.
- Gather pertinent information on market conditions and competition in geographical territory and research specifications in order to make informed decisions in preparing bid packages and strategic initiatives.
- Assist in preparation and delivery of customer proposals/bids and identify new solutions for customers; work with our Project Managers to provide technical and sales assistance to customers.
- Estimating Support:
- Participate in key bid estimates prepared by Project Managers//Division Managers/Chief Estimator.
- Assist in the estimating process and schedule with Chief Estimator and Division Managers.
- Provide executive insight to estimators on project approaches and opportunities.
- Keep informed of new products/services and other information of interest to customers; participate in trade association meetings and conventions.
· Ability to work as part of a diverse team.
- Limited overnight travel will be required (<20%) for customer visits, vendor visits, or training.
Qualifications
· BS Degree in Sales/Marketing, Civil or Environmental Engineering, Construction Management, or Environmental Sciences. Or greater than 15 years of Environmental Sales experience.
· Proven record.
· Strong writing and computer skills.
Salary : $114,204 - $126,572
