We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer to lead our construction projects from start to finish.
Job Description:
As a Senior Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in overseeing the planning, design, and execution of construction projects. You will be responsible for managing project timelines regarding the project's scope and/or timing, as well as monitoring the cost and progress of the project.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead the engineering and technical aspects of construction projects, ensuring that all project phases are completed on time and within budget.
- Develop and manage project schedules, cost estimates, and procurement plans.
- Oversee and coordinate construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and other necessary paperwork.
- Communicate regularly with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, contractors, and senior management, to provide updates and resolve issues.
- Perform risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to address potential project delays or budget overruns.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, environmental regulations, and construction industry standards.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you must have a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, and at least 5 years of experience in construction project engineering, with at least 3 years in a senior or leadership role.
You should also possess:
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, building codes, and safety standards.
- A strong understanding of project management software (e.g., Procore, BlueBeam, Microsoft Project).
- The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- A strong understanding of contract negotiation, change management, and construction-related legal requirements.
