We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Strategy, Market & Sustainability Analyst Intern to join our Business Development & Strategy team. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in strategic initiatives, market research, partnerships, and sustainability within the rapidly evolving renewable energy sector. The selected candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business growth, drive data-driven insights, and contribute to high-impact projects.
Responsibilities:
Market Research & Strategy
- Conduct in-depth research on market trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging opportunities in the renewable energy industry (with a focus on solar energy).
- Analyze regulatory policies and sustainability frameworks to assess their impact on business strategies and expansion opportunities.
- Support strategic market entry analysis and develop insights to optimize growth initiatives.
- Provide data-driven recommendations to support decision-making for business development and sustainability efforts.
Business Development & Partnerships
- Assist in the evaluation and structuring of potential partnerships, mergers, and acquisitions to support business growth.
- Contribute to the development of business proposals, pitch decks, and financial models for new partnerships or clients.
- Support the preparation and negotiation of partnership agreements and contracts.
- Track customer engagement metrics and maintain CRM systems to streamline business development activities.
Sustainability & Policy Analysis
- Monitor and analyze renewable energy policies, subsidies, and incentives that impact company initiatives.
- Evaluate the economic, social, and environmental impact of renewable energy projects.
- Support the development of sustainability strategies that align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Marketing & Communications
- Assist in the creation of marketing materials, case studies, and presentations to enhance brand visibility.
- Collaborate on thought leadership content, such as blog posts, whitepapers, and industry reports.
- Contribute to the execution of marketing campaigns to promote renewable energy solutions.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Environmental Studies, Energy Management, or a related field
- Strong analytical and research skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or Google Workspace; familiarity with CRM tools is a plus.
- Passion for renewable energy and sustainability.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with market analysis, business planning, or partnerships (e.g., through coursework, internships, or projects).
- Knowledge of renewable energy technologies, policies, or industry players.
- Creative mindset with the ability to develop compelling marketing materials.
Details & Duration Of Internship:
- Rate of Pay: $ 20/per hour.
- Internship duration: Approximately June 2025 to August 2025
- This position will report regularly in person to Annapolis, MD office.
- Hours of work: 20-25.hours per week, subject to change
