ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Work with Client relationship team to draft, publish, and execute annual vegetation, snow plowing, and civil RFP’s with a goal of driving profitability and quality of services delivered.
• Manage day-to-day vegetation/civil/snow plowing operations, ensuring that subcontractors adhere to Scope of work, pricing agreements and client deliverables.
• Represent the Company in vegetation and civil activities as required, including communicating with clients and vendors in coordination with Client relationship team and conducting site visits where necessary.
• Direct vegetation and civil activities including, but not limited to: grass cutting, spraying, civil work, reseeding, tree planting, agrivoltaics, and tree maintenance.
• Draft and execute vegetation maintenance plans for individual solar systems to comply with client, CUP, civil drawings, and AHJ’s.
• Review System CUP and SWPP to ensure vegetation and civil maintenance complies with AHJ and site level requirements.
• Understand Client asset vegetation needs and requirements.
• Develop strong and enduring customer relationships, while improving project profitability and adding value to client partnerships.
• Communicate observed solar nonconformance's to the ESS PV Operations team.
• Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Vegetation maintenance experience highly preferred.
• Proven experience overseeing and directing teams to accomplish time sensitive, specific tasks.
• Valid driver’s license and availability to obtain permit to drive official vehicles and equipment in the field.
• Able to travel (up to 30%) and be available during non-traditional working hours – this may include air travel. Travel will likely be seasonal.
SKILLS:
• Familiar with mechanical system maintenance and repair.
• Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects, teams, and schedules simultaneously.
• Excellent written/verbal communication skills and ability to interact with host customers, clients, and landowners.
• Ability to work independently and ask for guidance when needed.
• Familiar with solar photovoltaics.
• Strong written/verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Adobe Acrobat, and Outlook.
• Be a self-starter with strong time management skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Be able to drive a vehicle confidently and with a high degree of safety.
• Be able to stand for long periods of time and walk distances up to three miles a day.
• Have the visual acuity for depth perception, no field of vision issues, and to distinguish between colors.
• Be comfortable working in a variety of climate conditions which may include but are not limited to, extreme heat (temperatures above 100°F) or extreme cold (temperatures below 32°F) for periods of more than one hour.
