Multimedia Designer

Description:
This position creates graphics for internal and external communications of all companies and occasional partner organizations. The Multimedia Designer also provides support in creative concepting of campaigns, tradeshow booths, digital content, and company apparel. In-house support of photography and video services. The ideal candidate has outstanding multi-tasking & project management skills, can interact with various personalities to accept an array of feedback while creating strong work, and has a passion for design decisions that support the triple bottom line of people, planet, and profit.

This position is in-person, in Farmington, New York. Remote work not possible.

Responsibilities for Multimedia Designer:

• Proactively works with Creative Director for appropriate buy-in on all projects
• Executes design materials according to brand standards including, but not limited to: Advertising; Internal communications/stationary; Product information; Brochures/other collateral; Tradeshow booths; Websites; Presentations; Swag/Apparel
• Mechs all final design pieces for production (in-house and external)
• Edit photography
• Attend photoshoots with professional photographers
• Program light HTML/CSS for email blasts and website changes (through CMS)
• Edit light video
• Manage multiple brands and assignments simultaneously
• Proactively meet all deadlines while maintaining time for creative direction and proofing

All marketing team members, including this position:

• Create new marketing tactics and campaign ideas through group brainstorms
• Stays abreast of new initiatives, products, and services and looks for opportunities to bring them into marketing efforts
• Works with cross-departmentally to ensure information is appropriate, correct, and timely
• Own creative projects from start to finish
• Attend trade shows/conferences as needed to support sales team efforts
• Build brand-ambassadors through interaction with employees
• Be available outside of business hours on occasion as necessary
• Other tasks as needed

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field
• 2-5 year’s experience in graphic/ related design for agency, in-house, or freelance
• Prior experience working with construction, architectural, or manufacturing clients is a plus

Skills and Abilities:

• Strong graphic design portfolio in print and digital
• Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud; specifically InDesign, Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, and Illustrator
• Experience with Content Management Systems and light CSS/HTML for digital design
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Constant Contact, Hubspot
• Experience or ability to quickly learn project management programs such as ASANA
• Experience with video editing and motion graphics
• Demonstrated organizational skills; reliable, excellent follow through
• Positive and approachable demeanor with excellent communication skills and the ability to accept feedback from multiple sources
• Strong work ethic
