What are the responsibilities and job description for the Volunteer Coordinator position at New England Hospice?
Volunteer Coordinator Part time with the potential for full time, for a family owned hospice that provides services across the state. Some of the work may be performed remotely. Some travel required to areas across the state including the office in Hingham, MA.
- Responsibilities/Roles:
- Recruitment of volunteers; collect applications; screen/interview
- Outreach to various community services and groups to promote volunteer opportunities for the hospice
- Manage Calendars, Maintain Records, and Documentation of Volunteer Notes and Hours
- Participate in trainings (in person/online)
- Coordinate, communicate, maintain effective relationships with volunteers/patients/families/hospice team/building
- Check-in with volunteers
- Coordinate/organize appreciation events or small thank you gifts/notes to retain volunteers
- Communication with Hospice Team Members
