New England Jewish Academy, in the vibrant West Hartford Jewish community, is looking for a High School Judaic Studies teacher. This can be a full time or part-time position with ample prep time during the day. The subjects may include Chumash, Gemara, Navi, Halacha and Jewish History. There can also be a teaching position for a spouse. The ideal candidate will:

  • Inspire our students, infusing them with a love of Torah and Israel.

  • Develop a positive, engaging educational environment for students designed to challenge each student and bring out his or her unique strengths.

  • Make learning real and relevant to the modern world.

  • Cultivate positive relationships with each student

  • Develop a trusting partnership with parents.

  • Provide an environment that encourages participation, recognize the needs of individual students and the entire group, and offer support and flexibility as needed

  • Welcome constructive feedback and engage in ongoing professional development opportunities.

  • Support the mission and values of the school.
