POSITION INFORMATION:
Management of the parts operations within the dealership to maximize return on investment through; optimizing Parts Department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction, growing profitable parts sales, exercising disciplined expense control, attracting and retaining outstanding talent and effectively engaging department personnel.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the effective operation of the Parts Department
- Ensures that the Parts Department operates under safe conditions according to established policies and procedures
- Oversees the parts sales process from start to finish and assists in the process
- Assists in delivering expected sales and customer service results primarily through in-store execution of inventory control and in-stock standards
- Receive and manage telephone concerns and orders from customers, including problem resolution
- Provide technical information and guidance as well as motivational leadership and direction to Parts Department personnel
- Responsible for the data entry of inventory receipts
- Approve invoices for payment and work with Accounts Payable to resolve billing issues when needed
- Maintain all required training and education
- Assist in training/ensuring employees to work efficiently with all customers and parts and ensure effectiveness of all warehouse operations according to objectives and prepare appropriate forecasts.
- Assists in identifying and resolving issues in parts department and ensure achievement of all short- and long-term objectives.
- Design various merchandising strategies and monitor inventory of all physical parts and oversee all return processes for parts.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
The Parts Manager will report directly to the Parts Manager, and will maintain relationships with appropriate personnel throughout the company.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Current valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- High school diploma or the equivalent.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
- One year of supervisory experience.
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program or equivalent combination of education and experience with proven results
- Excellent communication and managerial skills.
- Some sales experience.
- Ability to operate the department profitably within dealership guidelines.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position will require, at different times and frequencies, sitting, standing, walking, lifting and bending.
