What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Professional position at New England Residential Services?
New England Residential Services is looking to hire employees for 2nd and 3rd shift. The ideal candidate is committed to their work, is punctual, has a great sense of humor and genuinely cares to help adults with developmental delays.
Individuals will be responsible for to assist in daily routines and choices of activities both at home and in the community. This includes but is not limited to the following:
Responsibilities:
* Maintains a personal yet professional relationship with individuals, co-workers, family members and employees of outside agencies.
* Promotes choice and independence in all life areas; provides assistance only when requested or necessary.
* Is a good role model for individuals supported
* Able to communicate with co-workers and residents in a positive manner
* Exhibits and promotes a positive attitude in all interactions
* Is physically able to perform all essential job functions which may include the following: lifting, various physical management techniques, light and heavy household tasks, driving and life saving techniques
