Position Summary :
The Concession Stand Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the concession stand, ensuring smooth and efficient service, maintaining inventory, supervising staff, and ensuring high-quality customer service. This role involves managing food and beverage preparation, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, and handling cash transactions while ensuring compliance with all health regulations.
This is a benefit eligible position including Medical insurance and paid time off.
This position requires the ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.
Responsibilities : Staff Supervision :
- Oversee, train, and schedule concession stand staff, including cashiers, food preparers, and stockers.
- Provide guidance and support to team members during shifts, ensuring they follow procedures and maintain high standards of service.
- Conduct performance evaluations and address any issues with staff behavior or performance.
Customer Service :
Ensure that customers receive prompt, friendly, and efficient service at all times.Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally and resolve issues in a timely manner.Monitor customer satisfaction and make adjustments to operations as needed to improve service.Food and Beverage Operations :
Supervise the preparation and serving of food and drinks, ensuring that food safety and quality standards are met.Maintain proper inventory levels of food, beverages, and supplies; ensure timely reordering to avoid stockouts.Ensure that food handling and sanitation procedures are consistently followed according to health and safety guidelines.Cash Handling & Financial Management :
Oversee cash register operations, including the accurate handling of cash, credit card transactions, and receipts.Perform cash reconciliations at the beginning and end of shifts, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.Maintain proper documentation of sales and inventory, and report financial figures to the appropriate manager.Facility Management :
Ensure that the concession stand is always clean and organized, following all cleanliness and sanitation standards.Monitor equipment and appliances for proper functioning and report any maintenance needs.Assist in setup and breakdown of the concession stand before and after events.Compliance & Safety :
Adhere to local, state, and federal health and safety regulations, including food handling, alcohol service (if applicable), and sanitation protocols.Enforce safety rules and procedures among staff to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries.Ensure the team is trained on emergency procedures, including fire safety, first aid, and evacuation protocols.Event Coordination :
Coordinate with event staff and management to prepare for large events, ensuring adequate staffing and supply levels.Adapt service offerings and staffing to meet the needs of high-demand events or special circumstances.Requirements :
2 years of hospitality, retail or customer-facing experience.Prior supervisory experience of hourly employees working varied schedulesPhysical Requirements :
Ability to stand for extended periods and move throughout the venue, including kitchens, dining areas, and storage facilities.Lifting and Carrying : - Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds, including food products, supplies, and equipment.Bending and Stooping : - Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching to access storage areas and inventory.Manual Dexterity : - Proficiency in using kitchen equipment and tools, as well as handling food items safely and efficiently.Work Location : This position requires 100% on-site attendance.
