New England Wire Products is seeking a skilled MIG Welding Robot Operator/Programmer to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the efficiency and quality of our automated welding processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming, operating, and maintaining MIG welding robots, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain software applications for welding robots.
- Program, test, and debug robotic welding systems to ensure precision and efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize welding operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects, mechanical issues, and electrical malfunctions.
- Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to improve system functionality.
- Perform routine maintenance and updates on robotic welding systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and mechanical drawings for system setup and modifications.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance automation processes.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C , or Python.
- Experience with Fanuc robotics and robotic programming.
- Strong understanding of **machining, logic controllers, and automation systems**.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for mechanical design and blueprint reading.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot mechanical and software issues.
- Familiarity with CGMP standards and industry best practices.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with engineers, technicians, and production teams.
