We are looking for an experienced Front of the House Manager to oversee daily operations, train qualified staff, and ensure delivery of high quality service. The FOH Manager will also be responsible for advancing the brand, maintaining exceptional customer service and adhering to restaurant protocols. With a professional demeanor and a positive attitude, the FOH Manager will play a vital role in the growth and popularity of our restaurant, as well as the long-term success of our employees.
Responsibilities
Operational Management:
- Oversee all front of house operations to ensure efficient and seamless service.
Staff Management:
- Recruit, hire, and train qualified front of house staff.
- Develop and implement work schedules that meet the operational needs of the restaurant.
- Provide ongoing training and development to ensure staff meet the restaurant’s high standards.
- Supervise and provide constructive feedback to waitstaff and other front of house personnel.
- Develop and implement a staff incentive program to increase sales and motivate employees.
Customer Service
- Foster a positive restaurant culture that prioritizes customer satisfaction.
- Ensure the consistent delivery of exceptional service to all guests.
- Interact with diners to build rapport and address any concerns or feedback.
- Handle customer complaints promptly and professionally to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Manage guest reservations and oversee seating arrangements to maximize efficiency.
- Implement promotional activities to attract and retain customers.
- Prepare detailed reports on customer satisfaction and feedback for senior management.
Coordination and Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with the Executive Chef to ensure smooth communication and service delivery.
- Coordinate promotional and special events to enhance the guest experience.
Supplier & Vendor Relations:
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure the consistent quality and supply of ingredients.
- Negotiate pricing and manage inventory to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
Health & Safety Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including cleanliness, sanitation, and F&B safety standards.
- Conduct regular bar inspections and audits to ensure the bar environment remains safe and compliant.
Financial Management:
- Collaborate with the management team on budgeting and cost control initiatives, focusing on reducing beverage waste and managing labor costs.
- Track and report beverage costs, adjusting inventory, menu prices, and portions as needed to meet financial goals.
Additional Duties:
- Ensure compliance with all restaurant policies and procedures.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continually enhance restaurant operations.
Experience
- Proven experience in food service management or a similar role within a fine dining environment.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen management practices, including food production processes.
- Familiarity with budgeting principles related to food service operations.
- Proficient in using POS systems for order management and financial transactions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage staff and interact with guests.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Knowledge or health and safety regulations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
