What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fisher Cats Sales Academy position at New Hampshire Fisher Cats?
The Fisher Cats Sales Academy is a sales development program geared to prepare entry level candidates for a sales driven career within the sports industry. The New Hampshire Fisher Cats, Double-A Affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays seeking motivated and driven individuals to join the Ticket Sales team. The Academy will receive detailed and comprehensive sales training with a strong focus on developing the skills necessary to become a successful sales executive in the sports industry. The training will benefit the individual’s career growth, as day-to-day leadership is provided by a full-time, experienced, ticket sales team. The Academy will also be responsible for organizing group outings to the best Double-A ballpark in the nation for our most popular nights such as Hockey Night in New Hampshire, Manchester Chicken Tenders rebrand, and Marvel Defenders of the Diamonds Night.
The Sales Academy program will start March 3rd with an initial training period with sessions on best practices for outbound calls, product knowledge, and ticketing/CRM systems. This will give the candidates the ability to hit the ground running to generate revenue through their efforts.
Our ideal candidates are willing to be coachable and have a desire to learn! Candidates need to be able to effectively communicate through various channels such as phone calls, email, and in person meetings. Most importantly be willing to provide exceptional customer service to current and prospective fans!
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for, but not limited to, the sales of new Full Season, Half Season, Mini Plans, Flex Plans and Group packages to businesses, organizations and consumers
- Meet or exceed revenue goals and expectations
- Demonstrate and evolve outbound sales efforts via best practices taught by leadership: prospecting, lead generation, sales technique/process, time management, referral gathering.
- Set and complete a minimum pre-determined number of weekly face-to-face meetings
- Sustain world-class customer service to all existing and prospective clients of the New Hampshire Fisher Cats
- Self-generate and adopt sales strategies to consistently improve as a sales professional
- Participate and contribute to daily, weekly and one-on-one organizational meetings and sales-focused sessions
- Represent the Fisher Cats brand and organization both inside and outside the office, positively contributing to the company’s culture
- Bring a creative approach to their day to day operation that inspires their peers and clients
Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Satisfactory interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Proficient computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and Outlook) as well as the ability to learn and master new software programs including CRM, ticketing systems, lead generation tools and work-efficiency frameworks
- Ability to navigate the ballpark in order to visit clients during home games and execute in-venue meetings with prospective clients on game days and dark days
- Availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
