Fund Development Director

New Hope is seeking a Fund Development  Director, responsible for creating and executing strategies to secure financial resources to fulfill New Hope's mission ensuring the organization's sustainability and growth.  This position will focus on a capital campaign for the construction of a 25,000 sq ft residential facility, with key characteristics noted below.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fundraising Strategy Development: Design and implement comprehensive fundraising plans targeting various donor groups, including individuals, corporations, foundations, and government entities. This involves setting clear goals, identifying potential funding sources, and determining appropriate fundraising methods.

• Donor Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective donors. This includes regular communication, personalized engagement, and recognition to foster long-term support.

• Grant Writing and Management: Research and identify grant opportunities, prepare compelling proposals, and manage the reporting requirements for awarded grants.

• Event Planning and Execution: Organize and oversee fundraising events such as galas, auctions, and community outreach programs to engage donors and raise funds.

• Budget Planning and Financial Management: Develop and manage budgets for fundraising activities, ensuring efficient use of resources and alignment with financial goals.

• Marketing and Public Relations: Collaborate with marketing teams to create promotional materials, manage social media campaigns, and enhance the organization's public image to attract donors.

• Team Leadership and Collaboration: Lead and support staff and volunteers involved in fundraising efforts, providing guidance, training, and motivation to achieve objectives.

Qualifications:

• Education: A bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, business administration, communications, or a related field is typically required.
• Experience: Several years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, including grant writing, donor relations, and event planning.Skills:

This role is vital for the financial health of New Hope CORPS Inc, requiring a combination of strategic planning, relationship-building, and financial acumen.

The Fund Development Director will be responsible for planning and executing the following steps:

1. Campaign Committee Formation: Assemble a team of dedicated individuals to lead and support the campaign efforts.
2. Goal Setting: Define clear, measurable objectives, including the total amount to be raised and the timeline.
3. Case Statement Development: Create compelling narratives that articulate the need for the campaign and its potential impact.
4. Donor Identification and Cultivation: Identify potential major donors and engage them through personalized outreach and relationship-building.
5. Solicitation: Approach identified donors with tailored proposals, emphasizing the campaign's significance and their potential role.
6. Stewardship: Acknowledge and thank donors promptly, keeping them informed about the campaign's progress and the impact of their contributions.
