We are seeking a highly skilled, strategic, and compassionate leader to serve as our Vice President of Onsite Resident Programs and Services, guiding initiatives that support residents in achieving stability and long-term success.

Job Summary

The Vice President of Onsite Resident Programs and Services will oversee the development, implementation, and management of innovative resident programs that support the health, stability, and growth of our residents. This role requires expertise in program development, data-driven decision-making, public health, and community engagement. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in public health, have a proven ability to create impactful resident services, and demonstrate exceptional communication and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

Program Development and Implementation :

  • Design, implement, and manage onsite programs to improve residents' overall health, wellbeing, and quality of life.
  • Develop data-driven initiatives in alignment with public health principles, focusing on client needs including health education, workforce development, financial literacy, and family support services.
  • Implement and assess evidence-based strategies to address the diverse needs of residents, including low-income individuals and families.

Leadership and Strategy :

  • Serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, contributing to strategic planning and organizational growth.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Resident Programs and Services department, including supervising staff and managing budgets.
  • Foster partnerships with local organizations, public health entities, and other stakeholders to enhance program offerings.
  • Data-Driven Decision-Making :

  • Develop and maintain systems for tracking program outcomes and measuring impact, ensuring compliance with organizational and funder requirements.
  • Utilize data to inform programmatic decision-making including identifying gaps in services, program evaluation, and support grant reporting and fundraising efforts.
  • Collaborations and Partnerships

    Work with community and collaborative partners, including the faith-based community, local universities, and key social service agencies to produce high-quality initiatives.

  • Identify new strategic partnership opportunities that advance the mission and vision of the organization.
  • Work collaboratively, coordinating across partners to ensure effective and smooth operations. Handle escalated property-level issues; identify current process shortcomings and partner needs.
  • Develop and implement metrics for tracking collaborative programs and partnerships including data sharing agreements across organizations.
  • Compliance

    Ensure Resident Programs comply with all local, state, federal and licensing rules and regulations associated with the operations of buildings under their scope of authority. Ensure compliance with building specific Land Use Restriction Articles (LURAs).

  • Strategically select service requirements for future construction projects to ensure consistent and smooth delivery across all Tax Credit Developments.
  • Ensure compliance with, and follow all organizational systems, programs, training, policies, and procedures as required and comply with relevant legal mandates.
  • Financial

    Work with Vice Presidents to create and manage budgets, ensuring the highest standard of reporting, communication, and compliance with all rules and policies.

  • Manage budgets for both single room occupancy (SRO) apartments and family housing paying attention to distinct funding streams and donors.
  • Grant Writing and Philanthropy Collaboration :

  • Work closely with the Philanthropy Team to identify funding opportunities and secure grants to support resident programs.
  • Lead the development of program-related content for grant applications, reports, and donor communications.
  • Identify funding opportunities to support programs and develop strategic partnerships to submit applications to support programs.
  • Ensure all grant-funded programs meet compliance and reporting requirements.
  • Communication and Advocacy :

  • Represent New Hope Housing at community events, public forums, and conferences.
  • Deliver compelling presentations to stakeholders, funders, and community partners.
  • Cultivate a positive and inclusive environment that empowers staff and residents alike.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, social work, or a related field required; master’s or doctoral degree strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in program development and management, preferably in affordable housing, public health, or nonprofit settings.
  • Proven experience in grant writing, securing funding, and collaborating with philanthropy teams.
  • Demonstrated success in tracking program data, analyzing trends, and using metrics to inform strategy.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage teams and collaborate across departments.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in public speaking.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders, including residents, community organizations, and government agencies.
  • Knowledge of affordable housing programs, social services, and evidence-based public health and social services is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge and experience of ClientTrack or HMIS are a plus.
  • Preferred Skills :

  • Experience managing grant-funded programs and ensuring compliance with funder requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with resident engagement strategies and trauma-informed care.
  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
