What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Education Specialist position at New Hope Inc?
The Community Education Specialist will lead community-based education and outreach to increase public and professional awareness of issues surrounding sexual, domestic, and family violence, reflecting New Hopes values of respect, teamwork, empowerment, and professionalism. Primary responsibilities include developing prevention activities tailored to diverse community needs, providing school-based and community education, and forming collaborative connections with local resources and allied providers. The Specialist will participate in community coalitions and statewide initiatives, create training and marketing materials, assist with pre-service training, and conduct evaluations to assess the impact of prevention efforts. Additionally, they will support awareness month activities, compile data for reports, attend agency meetings, and complete tasks as assigned by the Senior Director of Community Impact and DEI.
