Overview
The Community Impact Specialist supports New Hope’s mission by executing marketing, communication, and development initiatives that enhance community engagement, donor relationships, and public awareness of New Hope’s programs and services.
Primary Responsibilities
- Collaborate with departments to solicit, compile, and create engaging social media content, fostering increased audience engagement.
- Assist in creating and distributing internal and external communications, such as e-newsletters, brochures, and the annual impact report.
- Support the development and execution of an annual communications plan in partnership with the Senior Director, Community Impact, and DEI.
- Identify and schedule public speaking opportunities for leadership, including the CEO and Senior Team members.
- Ensure consistency in branding and style across website, print, and electronic communications.
- Track and analyze marketing metrics, including audience engagement, media impressions, and social media growth.
- Provide administrative and content support for grant writing initiatives and funding applications.
- Assist in managing donor relationships by conducting donor research, cultivating new relationships, and maintaining communication with current donors.
- Coordinate and support fundraising events, working with the Senior Director, Community Impact and DEI, and other teams.
- Maintain the donor database, ensuring accuracy and generating reports as needed.
- Respond to donor inquiries via email, phone, and written correspondence.
- Represent New Hope at community events and networking opportunities to raise awareness about the organization’s mission.
- Assist with the planning and execution of community events, including fundraisers and staff meetings.

Education and Experience
- 1-2 years' experience in communications, development, or other related roles, preferably in a non-profit setting.
- Experience managing social media accounts and developing content.
- Experience in fundraising, donor relations and event planning, preferably in a non-profit setting.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.

Schedule
- 35 hours per week.
- Hybrid, day shift.
- Montay to Friday, with occasional weekends and evenings, as needed.
