Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teachers to join our preschool team. We are a part time program and have classes on T/Th (3's) and M/W/F (4's) from 9:00am-12:30pm. Each class has 16 children and 2 co-teachers. We follow the Bend-Lapine School District's calendar regarding holidays, parent conferences and teacher work days. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, cognitive and spiritual development. This role requires a commitment to early childhood education principles and the ability to engage children through creative activities and structured learning experiences.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote literacy, math, social and spiritual growth using curriculum and resources that support the mission of New Hope Preschool.
- Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Foster positive relationships with children, their parents, and colleagues to support children's growth and development.
- Assess children's progress through observation and documentation, adjusting teaching strategies as needed.
- Organize activities that promote social skills, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom that adheres to health and safety standards.
- Collaborate with other teachers and director to enhance the overall preschool curriculum.
Skills
- Strong background in early childhood education with experience in preschool settings.
- Knowledge of literacy education techniques to support reading readiness.
- Familiarity with math concepts suitable for young learners.
- Experience in spiritually leading preschool children.
- Excellent classroom management skills to effectively engage and direct children in a classroom setting.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 25 per week
