Duties
- Conduct assessments to determine clients' needs and capabilities.
- Develop personalized rehabilitation plans tailored to individual goals.
- Provide counseling services addressing gender issues and working with people with disabilities.
- Utilize medical terminology and knowledge of ICD-9 to document client progress accurately.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals in clinics and hospitals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions and workshops focused on skill development.
- Engage in clinical research to stay updated on best practices in rehabilitation counseling.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and progress towards goals.
Qualifications
- A degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in a clinical setting is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and familiarity with ICD-9 coding.
- Strong skills in motivational interviewing techniques and psychotherapy practices.
