WIC Coordinator
Eligible for benefits 1st day of the month following 30 days of employment
- Responsible for managing all aspects of the local program.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate the objectives and activities of the WIC Program
- Maintain a compassionate clinic environment that supports the diversity and needs of the community
- Provide staff with in-services for continuing education and ensure all required training is completed
- Establish local agency policies and procedures, prepare reports, and monitor the WIC Program operation for compliance with State and federal regulations and policies
- Serve as liaison with vendors; review contracts, deal with specific problems, and keep vendors updated on Program requirements as related to food booklet changes
- Responsible for maintaining all required records, plans, and files
- Routinely initiate facility maintenance requests, and maintain equipment inventory
- Review and monitor performance of all staff
- Serve as System Administrator for MIS and the WIC SharePoint site
- Participate in community activities to promote good public relations and to increase community awareness of nutritional needs and the services offered by the WIC Program
- Monitor clinic operations for efficiency and effectiveness
- Responsible for maintaining contracted caseload
- Ensure EBT card security, EBT card stock and related logs
- Develop and maintain procedure for a referral system
- Responsible for the planning and preparation of the WIC budget and related reports
- Participate in various committees, as invited within NHS, State and local level
- Support and promote breastfeeding as the normative infant feeding method
- Ensure confidentiality of applicant and client information
- Travel between clinics and to required statewide conferences.
- Interview and hire replacement staff as necessary
- Track and report activities to Director of Social Services
QUALIFICATIONS :
EDUCATION / YEARS OF EXPERIENCE :
Must be one of the following :
Registered Dietitian; or
