Summary

We are seeking a Church Organist for New Hope Lutheran Church. This role is essential in enhancing our worship services through music, contributing to the spiritual experience of our congregation.

Responsibilities

• Play the organ for worship services, special events, and rehearsals as scheduled.
• Collaborate with church leadership to select appropriate music that aligns with the liturgical calendar.
• Provide musical accompaniment for hymns, anthems, and other congregational singing.
• Assist in developing a music program that engages the congregation and enhances worship experiences.
• Maintain the organ and ensure it is in good working condition for all services.
• Work with choirs or musical groups within the church to prepare for performances.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an organist or pianist, preferably in a church setting.
• Strong understanding of liturgical music and hymnody.
• Ability to read music fluently and perform various musical styles.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with church staff and congregation members.
• A passion for enhancing worship through music.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $10,000.00 - $12,000.00 per year
